PergolaMod, operated by Dream Sunrooms LLC of 4124 Walney Road #H, Chantilly, VA 20151 ("PergolaMod", "we", "us", "our"), respects your privacy and is committed to protecting the personal information you share with us. This Privacy Policy explains in detail what information we collect when you visit pergolamod.com or do business with us, why we collect it, how we use and protect it, with whom we share it, and the rights and choices you have. By using our website you agree to the collection and use of information as described in this policy.

Who we are

PergolaMod sells German-engineered aluminum louvered pergolas, carports and outdoor-living accessories to customers in the United States. Our showroom and office are located at 4124 Walney Road #H, Chantilly, VA 20151, and we serve customers within roughly 200 miles of Chantilly, Virginia, including Washington DC, Northern Virginia and Maryland. For any privacy question or request, you can reach us at sales@pergolamod.com or +1 703-775-6767.

Information we collect

We collect information in three ways: information you give us directly, information created when you order from us, and information collected automatically when you browse the site.

Information you provide directly

  • Contact and identity details — your name, email address, phone number and, where relevant, delivery address, provided when you place an order, request a quote, use our pergola quiz, sign up for our newsletter, or contact us by form, email or phone.
  • Project information — details you choose to share about your terrace or garden, approximate dimensions, photos of your space, product preferences and timing. We use these solely to advise you and prepare accurate quotes.
  • Communications — the content of emails, contact-form messages and call notes, so that we can follow up properly and keep track of what we have promised you.

Order and payment information

  • Order details — the products, sizes, colors and options you purchase, order value, delivery address and delivery preferences.
  • Payment information — payments are processed by our payment providers (such as Shopify Payments and the payment methods offered at checkout). We receive confirmation of payment and limited card metadata (such as card type and last four digits) but we never receive or store your full card number.

Information collected automatically

  • Device and usage data — IP address, browser type, operating system, screen size, referring website, the pages you visit, how long you stay and which products you view. This is collected through cookies and similar technologies described in our Cookie Policy.
  • Marketing attribution — if you arrive through an advertisement or campaign link, we record standard campaign parameters (such as the source and campaign name) so we understand which of our marketing works.

How we use your information

  • To fulfil orders — processing payment, arranging freight delivery, providing order updates and handling warranty or service matters.
  • To provide quotes and advice — responding to quote requests and quiz submissions, preparing recommendations and following up on your project.
  • To provide customer support — answering questions before and after purchase and resolving any issues.
  • For marketing with your consent — sending our newsletter and offers if you signed up for them. Every marketing email contains an unsubscribe link, and unsubscribing is immediate.
  • To improve our website and products — analyzing anonymized and aggregated usage patterns to make the site clearer and the assortment better.
  • To protect our business — preventing fraud, securing our systems and enforcing our Terms & Conditions.
  • To comply with the law — meeting tax, accounting, consumer-protection and other legal obligations.

We do not use your personal information for automated decision-making that produces legal effects, and we do not sell personal information to third parties.

Who we share information with

We share personal information only where necessary to run our business, and only with parties that are contractually bound to protect it:

  • E-commerce platform — our store runs on Shopify, which hosts the website and processes orders and customer data on our behalf.
  • Payment processors — to process your payment securely.
  • Shipping and freight partners — carriers receive your name, delivery address and phone number so they can deliver your order and coordinate delivery appointments.
  • Installation partners — if you book installation, the installing team receives the contact and project details needed to perform the work.
  • Analytics and marketing tools — such as web-analytics and advertising platforms, as described in the Cookie Policy.
  • Professional advisers and authorities — accountants, lawyers, insurers or public authorities where required for legitimate business operations or by law.

We never sell, rent or trade your personal information.

How long we keep information

  • Order records — kept for as long as required by tax and accounting law.
  • Quote requests and inquiries — kept while your project is active and for a reasonable period afterwards, so we can pick the conversation back up when you are ready.
  • Newsletter data — kept until you unsubscribe.
  • Website analytics — retained in aggregated form.

When information is no longer needed, it is deleted or irreversibly anonymized.

How we protect your information

All traffic to our website is encrypted using TLS ("https"). Payment data is handled exclusively by PCI-DSS-compliant payment providers. Access to customer data within our organization is limited to staff who need it to serve you, and our platform providers maintain industry-standard technical and organizational security measures. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, but we take the protection of your data seriously and review our practices regularly.

Your rights and choices

You are always in control of your personal information. You may:

  • Access — ask us what personal information we hold about you and receive a copy.
  • Correct — ask us to fix inaccurate or incomplete information.
  • Delete — ask us to delete your personal information, subject to legal retention obligations.
  • Opt out of marketing — via the unsubscribe link in any email or by contacting us.
  • Limit cookies — via your browser settings, as explained in the Cookie Policy.

Residents of Virginia have additional rights under the Virginia Consumer Data Protection Act (VCDPA), and residents of certain other states have comparable rights under their state privacy laws, including the right to confirm processing, the right to data portability and the right to appeal a refusal. To exercise any right, email sales@pergolamod.com with your request; we will verify your identity and respond within the timeframe required by applicable law.

Children's privacy

Our website and products are directed at adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 16. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact us and we will delete it.

Third-party links

Our website may contain links to external websites (for example, manufacturer documentation or social media). We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those sites, and we encourage you to review their policies.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time, for example when we introduce new services or when the law changes. The date at the top of the page shows when it was last revised. Significant changes will be highlighted on this page.
